It's really cold here this morning in Foley, which is rare for this time of year. Today's high will be 62 degrees, but on Monday it was 85 degrees! We will be using the 'thermals' for sure! A large cold-front came down from the North, along with a lot of rain which we ran into yesterday on the ride here. In fact yesterday was a full day of wearing our waterproofs - not something we thought we would be doing whilst in the south!
Here's lunch on the road. We stopped for some gas and 'fuelled' ourselves up on what we call back home 'itchy-pig' (i.e. Port Scratchings). Unfortunately Jon broke a tooth eating this 'granite' like snack! Being hardcore he had no intention of visiting a dentist.
Cool, ..unusual weather too for where you are, keep taking the pics, & get Jon on the line too, lolReplyDelete
Really interested in what you find in New Orleans :)
Hi Tony, I keep nagging him, but he's either too tired or too drunk at the end of the day!Delete
You may think it's cold where you are but much warmer than up here. Want to trade places ? I've never been to New Orleans so waiting for your impressions and photos

It's a crazy place Bob - I wouldn't like to do it sober, it would be way too scary!Delete
It's a good thing you started your trip in the south - snowed up north yesterday. Also looking forward to New Orleans pics.ReplyDelete
Hi Canajun, we are glad too we started in the south, but the weather we are told is still unnaturally cold for this time of year. But where we live these temperatures are called 'summer!'Delete
Have fun in new Orleans...just watch out for those voodoo with doctors. :-)ReplyDelete
