After a wonderful, and surprising send off party given by our family and friends and so kindly arranged by my wife Susanna yesterday it wasn't easy leaving home this morning. But our epic USA adventure is now firmly underway. We received confirmation that our Harley's are awaiting our collection tomorrow at a bonded warehouse somewhere on the Orlando International Airport complex, trouble is it's a huge place!
Great cake - notice the black and orange Harley colours
We're going to need it!
And I thought we were going for a quiet Sunday afternoon drink at our local pub
The official tour t-shirt….
Check back tomorrow, for hopefully a story and pictures of the motorcycles.
And the adventure begins! Looking forward to the stories...

Hi Colleen, thanks for the offer I will drop you an email. We continue to refine our routes and any local knowledge would be most appreciated.
DeleteMay your grand adventure be safe each day. I'll be watching along and when you get to Arizona perhaps we can meet up for a lunch or something.
ReplyDeleteThanks Doug - your 'company' will be most welcomed.
DeleteYep, day 1 ..have fun & be safe :)
ReplyDeleteTell Jon that Tommy's well - was 4deg here last night so he's gone back to bed for a bit!!
WooHoo, let the games begin!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to following along.
welcome gents to the land of milk & honey (not florida), but the USA. Looking forward to following your travels and seeing you upon your arrival in NYC. I have a great friend of mine in LA who has a Harley & is up for some riding and drinks with the Blighty Boys.
ReplyDeleteHey Mikey! We finally made it my friend, and it feels fantastic. It would be great to hook up with you pal in California. I'll send you an email about arriving in NYC in the next day or so. I need your help on a venue for Susanna's birthday lunch…. etc
DeleteWelcome guys. I hope my adopted state of Florida treats you well. Just be care of what we call the "snowbirds". Generally these are ancient northern folk that migrate here during the winter months. They are blind to everything but grand-kids and buffet's.
ReplyDeleteHi Robert, thanks for the welcome. Yes indeed we heard about these "snowbirds" from the taxi driver coming from the Airport - what a scary breed for us bikers!
