We arrived at the Grand Canyon National Park this afternoon and this was the first viewing point once you have come through the entrance barrier and paid for your $12 seven day pass.
I thought you might like a sneak preview of what's to come when we go and explore in detail on Sunday.
We stayed at the Grand Hotel off US64, which is a very nice hotel that had a bar (saloon) that sold real beer, with real alcohol in it! After being in "dry county" for two days it tasted sublime…….For dinner we ate steak, drank lots of red wine, whilst being serenaded by a banjo playing country singer.
I expect you'll just love it!

Know what you mean SonjaM…! But hey as the saying goes "when in Rome do as the Romans do…." out pallets are getting use to the local brews now.
DeleteHaving never been to the grand canyon I can imagine your wonder at seeing it for the first time.
ReplyDeleteAs you head west further the beer might be better. A lot of micro-brews in the pacific northwest.
