We'll meet again…..some sunny day

The 'final countdown' began today with the dropping off of "B1GD0GHOG" and "LULU" at James Cargo, our bike shippers, based near London's Heathrow Airport.  Talk about making it feel real!  The next time we see these beauties will be in Orlando in a couple of weeks time.  The screens and aerials had to come off.  We left with them being secured into a bonded warehouse in preparation for them being packed into custom built crates ready for the flight to sunny Florida.

    1. It's hard Alex. We want the time to go quick now, but all so very slow once we arrive in Florida in 2 weeks. Parting with the bikes was a test of the old nerves!

It's like losing a long lost friend. It's going to be a long "bikeless" couple of weeks.

  3. That must have felt odd to drop the bikes off.

Just think how excited you'll be when you see them in Orlando.

  4. Hi Trobairitz, yes it was quite an emotional moment !! It was even worse when I opened the garage 2 days later and she wasn't there !! Opening the crates in Orlando will be a great moment

  6. Thanks Curt for your comment and wishes. We are just so excited with just 5 days to go now before we fly to the USA. Our bikes airfreight to Orlando this Saturday I am told, ready for us to collect next Tuesday.

  7. You must now be getting very excited! Not long now Blighty Boys! I am sure James Cargo will get the bikes there safely. I bet you cannot wait to get going.

    1. Hi Gary, yes indeed getting very excited now with just 4 days to go before we leave good old 'Blighty' - it's like Christmas Eve when I was a boy! Although to be honest I'm also suffering a little bit of separation anxiety from the family, 3 months is a long time when 10 days is the most at any one time I have been away from them!
